If you have created fictional or non-fictional text - be it for a picture book, a novel, maybe an historical text or something else, it is sometimes useful to get a professional assessment of whether you are on track with your approach.
A manuscript assessment can be a valuable step, before you require professional editing.
Viv can help with the picture book category and has access to assessors for other genres. Prices will vary depending on the amount of text.

If you have written a children's picture book story and would like an assessment of it, just contact Viv and email a copy of your manuscript to her to assess.
She will provide you with an overview which includes advice, tips and gentle feedback.
An assessment takes about 2 hours and is emailed to you. The cost is $50 for a picture book assessment.
ESSENTIAL PICTURE BOOK TIPS:
Make sure you write to also allow the pictures to tell the story!
A standard picture book is around 32 pages long.
Text should be around 500 to 750 words maximum, ideally - less is better!
Word count can be shorter for children under 7 years of age.
